Floor Rad

The Floor Rad is a basic underfloor heating system that has been designed to provide heating for single zoned screeded floor areas or suspended with thermal mass floor areas.  The Floor Rad connects directly to your existing hot water heating system – perfect for small extensions or conservatories up to 18m².

The Floor Rad uses the Rayomax pipe which is a multi-layer composite pipe with a diameter of 16mm (18mm for 18m2 Floor Rad).  It is made of cross-linked polyethylene with the aluminium longitudinally welded by ultra sonic wave in an overlapping method.  The pipe is so strong and resilient that it can withstand temperatures of up to 95ºC at 10 bar pressure for 50 years!

Each underfloor heating FloorRad system involves:

  • 100m of Rayomax™ Pipe
  • Danfoss valve, sensor and fitting kit (8 heat outputs)
  • Pipe cutter and reamer
  • Clips for fitting Rayomax™  Pipe to insulation
  • Fittings to connect Rayomax™ Pipe to valve
  • Fittings for connection to existing copper pipe
  • All delivered to your door!

For areas up to 14 m² Rayomax™ Pipe of 16mm diameter is
used, 18mm diameter is used for 15-18 m² floor areas.

About Floor Rad

Floor Rad 1 A return temperature limiter maintains the return temperature from the UFH at a constant level and secures a constant floor temp. Since there is a relation between the floor surface temp and the room temp, the room temp will be held at a constant level.
