Solar Grants

There are different solar grants and incentives available depending on whether you are a home owner, non profit organisation or business. Solar heating grants are only available for installed solar heating systems.

Solar grants

Home owner

There is currently a £400 government solar heating grant available for installed domestic projects. Rayotec is fully accredited with the government scheme and can help its customers apply for the soalr grant.

Non profit organisation

There is a DTI solar grant of 50% available for non-profit organisations under the Low Carbon Building Programme (Phase 2). This encompasses public sector buildings (including schools, hospitals, housing associations and local authorities) and charitable bodies.

Rayotec is part of the Low Carbon Partnership and is therefore fully accredited with the scheme.

We provide a free detailed quotation upon receipt of our Commercial Questionnaire. When the quotation has been accepted we help the organisation fill out the on line form to receive the solar heating grant. Once the solar grant has been confirmed we can commence the solar heating installation work.

Business

There are no solar grants available for businesses but they can claim the Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs) which enable them to claim 100% first-year capital allowances on their SCHOTT solar heating panel expenditure. Businesses can write off the whole of the capital cost of their investment in solar heating against their taxable profits of the period during which they make the investment. This can deliver a helpful cash flow boost and a shortened payback period.
