The use of insulation must be used in all cases.
Installation under Laminate, Engineered & Wood
(Floors must not be nailed down)

Stuck Down Flooring (i.e. Amtico, Lino & some Wood)
The Rayoflex foil cable heating mat is not suitable for any floor that is to be glued down or with the use of latex based self-levelling compounds. For these floor types, please use the WEB-TECH Cable Heating system.
Fitting the Mat
To fit the mat in the area you require heating, it will be necessary in most cases to cut the mesh into fragments (ensure that you never cut the cable itself when doing so!)
1.Once you have estimated the size of the heating area, lay the correctly sized mat with the cable faced down.
2. Cut the re-enforced foil taking care not to cut/ damage the cable and turn the mat keeping the cable facing down.
3. To allow continuous earth current, every time the mat is turned, you must use the aluminium tape provided to close the gap and cover the exposed cables.
